Bio Note: I am a writer, performance poet and storyteller. As a member of the Performance Poets Association (PPA) I have read extensively throughout the NYC metro area, being featured numerous times at PPA events and the Phoenix Poetry Series in Greenwich Village. New Year's Day
Let’s kick off the New Year With a toast For auld lang syne my friend For auld lang syne No debating Robert Burns Scottish translations Or such Clink Take a cup of kindness Enjoy Edvard Grieg, Keith Jarrett Dylan and scented candles Filled the air this night Before leaving the table A cordial was offered, In lieu of his aged Port, One of my host’s Poems Specifically written for The occasion: Sumatra Dark Roast Ethiopian Heirloom Earl Grey tonight? What do you think? Oh, It’s all-good I’ll have whatever You’re thinking Any of the trinity Upon completing dinner I reestablished my position Sitting down by the fire Next to the tall clock Staring into the flickering flames Of an impending New Year My thoughts, however, Were drawn to— An unnamed Italian poet (From the 13th century), Vintage aged Port And Rosemary But never to… The Jack of Hearts
