Bio Note: I am an author, poet, actor, and storyteller currently based in Los Angeles where I focus on my writings and art to share my love of language and storytelling with the world. I was originally born in Massachusetts, indulging in any creative art programs I could find. We Dance to the Same Song on Repeat.
Only the Names, Places, and Faces Change
I have told you these words before Atop the rickety walls Way back when in Jericho And you laughed so hard and so loud That we did not hear The trumpet But I told you of a story A fable A fable of a young man (You told me, “There are many fables of young men”) Who first had to be lost to find Himself And so inspired was I That I launched myself into nothingness Hoping to be lost You found me then You find me now You will find me once again For you are the catalyst behind every parable ever written I was told “Growing fruit in the desert is a fool’s errand” When have I ever been known for wise decisions?
