darkness has the rush of promise
night twisting over the daylight tails of stars form white trails lap the earth like Ariel and fall from the heavens. The listening bark yearning for the sounds of night, owls not asleep in their branches, mice squeaking beneath. I feel like a small alert owl. I set my eye on something; softness and indigo, are silently offered to me.
