Bio Note: I am a lifelong and long-lived reader and writer of poems. Publications: Bramble, Verse-Virtual, Your Daily Poem. Seeing the fields flooded with bright yellow, I wonder why anyone goes to so much trouble to get rid of dandelions. I guess because of the not-so-pretty lion's-tooth leaves that remain long after the yellow has turned to white and blown away...
Lion’s Tooth (Dent-de-Lion)
How lovely the lawns dotted with bright yellow dandelions before they turn to seed. How hard my mother worked with a special tool to extract each tenacious tooth-edged “weed.”
