Company For The Unfinished
the refrigerator hums but the noises of the living— throat-clearing nasal breathing bed sheets shifting— are silenced by nature how awful to view death in its last living place: a bed and nightstand readers and a glass a receipt placed two-thirds in to an unfinished book of which he will never know the ending.
