Author's Note: I wrote this poem as a personal challenge to submit to One Sentence Poems. I wanted to see if I could actually write a poem in one sentence that made sense and wasn't too short or too long. It was published and I was pleased.
Detox
Through a dense fog, I hear someone explaining to me repeatedly how the stockpile of microenzymes I have built up over the past ten years will be depleted in five days while the staff ply me with Perrier and Imodium ad nauseum.
