is full of ellipses,
each dot an omission
of an answer
or an indifference
to an answer,
a bomb bursting
into tears
or a heart
into heartless rocks.
Today’s Problem
An eye
for an eye
a tooth
for a tooth
a fist
for a fist
but
never
a heart
for a heart
