Bio Note: I had my first poem selected for publication when I was 60 years old. Now I have two chapbooks and two full-length collections available, email me. I'm addicted to Scrabble and pickleball, and I enjoy playing with my four grandchildren.
The Letter V's Lament
Why do people hate me? After all, there I am in the words live and love. OK, maybe I’m not as versatile as H or S and maybe I should be worth more than four points. Even the Romans thought I was worth five, and they never even heard of Scrabble. K is worth five points and rarely gets tossed back in the tile bag which happens to me all the time despite my being vivacious. I’m almost never part of a bingo and way too often I’m left there at the end of the game on the loser’s rack.
Violet Triolet
roses are red violets are violet roses could be a different color instead but all my roses are red so get it in your head this is a triolet roses are red violets are violet.
