Bio Note: I work at being happy and grateful, while writing with an eye for wonder, a taste for questions, and a sense of proximity to the Sacred. The community and volunteer facilitators of the Oxford Poetry Library have been instrumental in the growth of my writing, revision, and performance skills, and recently, my work has been published in Amethyst Review; Nowhere Girl; and Suburban Witchcraft.
Staring into the Vortex
Petals, Hawthorn, sweep the station forecourt. eddying with each Spring gust, like vortices of lost, landlocked fish scales. Fish out of water, their dancing softness offering life's transient, misplaced beauty, to concrete’s impermeability.
