Bio Note: I am a Virgin Islands poet with roots in the BVI and USVI. I began writing in 1996. My work is available in my Kindle book, "Be Inspired: Poems by Linette Rabsatt," on my blog, “Words of Ribbon.” I write to inspire the world with my words. My mantra is "invest in what grows you."
Anniversary
a platinum sunrise rested in her eyes as they sat in purple chairs cheering for their love surrounded by a golden counterpart who sat solo while Ruby sat dreamily drifting away because her eyes were fixed on pearlized spectacles as silver hairs flew in the wind past empty China plates and crystal goblets emptied and discarded reminding us that idolizing ivory lusting for lace is not scintillating enough for silk or solid enough for steel or thin enough to keep our memories transparent
