Several poems have garnered awards from the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets and the Oregon Poetry Association. My poem “Old Lovers” won the 2014 Hal Prize, and my 2016 poetry collection, The Sacred Monotony of Breath (Prolific Press), received honorable mention from the Council for Wisconsin Writers. I am confounded
standing before the mirror
him and me again?

rebel brow breaks free
wife approaches scissors in hand
surrender or run?

what was is no more
an intimacy unwound
my love hold me close
