Home is the smell of green. Mown grass, spring’s perfume. Air crisp from the trees feeding on bonfires and sunlight. Where the bassists and cellists play for pedestrians. Where the young poets call forth Kerouac’s spirit, pacing the sidewalks. Where the club girls strut the street in 4-inch heels and bars still play Love Shack. Where you can be blessed by the poet’s kiss, wiry and sweet against your face. Where the words are full of heart, the hearts full of words.
