June 2023
Author's Note: Three more short poems from my time at Wishin' Jupiter Ranch in north-central Nebraska in October, 2022. Each moment is every moment when the world stands still for us. It was a wonderful week -- wind and sand, the river and the cottonwoods. Say yes.
The sun walks long shadows across the hayfield. The coyotes wait their turn. ~ Morning light on the old cottonwoods -- they have seen everything. Autumn leaves fall. This moment is all moments. ~ Cottonwoods tossing their gold coins -- the splashing of silence. ~
