Bio Note: While I've been working at a Costco store, my poetry has been published in various journals, such as frogpond and bottle rockets. Last year, I had three haiku chapbooks published by buddha baby press. I live in Rockaway, New Jersey, with plans of publishing my first full-length poetry book.

the poet in love

slicing lemons
for her water

he develops
a stutter

trying to
find

the right
words

ameliorate

the day after
new year’s

getting back
to the daily grind

while nursing
a hangover.

striking a
conversation

with a complete
stranger

talking about
tomorrow
