Bio Note: My poems are spins on our everyday world, which has always gripped me much more than science-fiction worlds. A now retired English Professor, I taught for many years at Suffolk University in Boston. I also for several years was Poetry Editor for IBBETSON STREET magazine. I have had several collections of poems published.
Praiseworthy
Certainly applaud the people who gain solid satisfaction by reading biographies and histories stuffed with footnotes —but cheer the people who—spurred by a need in their lives—bring home a mystery novel that keeps them reading long past midnight.
Song For My Sister
(1925-2011) I see an old film and remember watching it with college friends; an old pop song brings back a girl I once dated--all such mementos stir memories of people I have known. But you, Jean, come to me in sunlight or in shadows any time you want to. And always I beg you to stay longer, stay and hurt me with love.
