EDITOR'S NOTE
Dear Community,
If you struggle with depression, despair, loneliness, self-doubt, and feelings of inferiority,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If you feel ignored, scorned, like your best is only mediocre,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If you feel that others are getting attention for their work when you are sure that yours is just as good,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If you wonder what else you could possibly do to feel successful, or see some tangible proof of success ($$$?)
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If you are worn-out mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and need a break from everything, but are reluctant to ask for help,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If you'd like get rid of some, or most, or all of those feelings, here's the solution: look outside yourself. Find someone else who is wandering in the same darkness and lift them up. Be intentional. Don't wait for someone to find and rescue you. Go rescue someone. Do whatever your heart and mind tell you to do for them. It may be something extremely simple. A smile. A cookie. A poem. A book. It may be complicated. It might take more of your time than you think you have to spare. Do it anyway. Why? Because...
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
SUBMISSIONS for September will follow the guidelines found HERE. The theme is a challenge. I'll be looking for some seriously good poems.
