Going Against the Flow
My heart cries every day, or so it seems, but like Odysseus, I’m too busy for remorse, wanting only to reach our home, eat my meal, one prepared with forethought and love and sometimes persistence. But what if a river is a stubborn lake, and no matter how hard we row, how resolved to connection, we can’t push past its condemning mouth? Embrace all things offshore, then flow beautifully back to us.
