Bio Note: I began reading and writing poetry just over two years ago, after retiring from a long career as a business attorney. I’ve been surprised on well over 100 occasions to see my poems selected for publication in nearly a score of online and print journals. While formal poetry is mostly what I write, my favorite poem is Langston Hughes’ free verse masterpiece Mother to Son.
Reruns
I’d just begun to tell my son a story, When he said: “Dad – you’ve told me this before!” I had no recollection of such discourse, But heard and saw amusement that he bore. I asked my son to not forget that moment, For someday – I could surely guarantee – That he’d start telling his own kids a story, And hear the same thing he just said to me.
