Out My Kitchen Window: Absorbing Canine Counsel in Winter
—for Yogi On this frosty morning untouched free of yesterday’s hurry glitter graces the backyard a silver subtlety joins the air. As if in slow motion your nose lifts to catch a scent. You sit settle into the twinkle experience what can be named discernment. The choice appears bright the day’s forecast holds finespun promise and clear-sighted notions of joy. My dog’s offering shows me slows me to the ease of an instant the bounty of one inhalation. As I view through a framework of glass a portal of quiet mentorship I hear him whisper just catch a scent and go with it.
