February 2022
EDITOR'S NOTE
Dear Community,
In the submission guidelines, I ask for information to be placed in your emails in a specific order. Why? Because when I'm reading through and selecting from around two hundred poems in ten to fourteen days, and then creating web pages for the next issue, Every. Little. Thing. makes my work easier or harder. I do a lot of copy and paste, so when text isn't left justified, or the email address isn't included in the body of the email, or the email address and web address are centered, or not separated, or the bio is at the bottom of the email, (you get the picture?) it means extra mouse clicks, extra attention to stray commas and periods, and most importantly -- extra time. I want your poems to be presented perfectly, and I suspect you do too. Anyway, I figured I've flogged often enough, I should try some lighter persuasion. Here's a poem for the occasion:
Submissions for March open on February 1 and close at midnight on February 10. If you're reading this, you are already on the website where the guidelines are laid out. The OPTIONAL theme for March is "FOOD."

justified one rule demands you stay left another hard to the right, few allow the option of center a select group allows for some combination of all three as though that is even possible i've never seen it, myself and certainly never done it hardly ever even shifted except that one glorious moment when i discovered that pushing right meant being left and pushing left meant being right so now, it's mostly left an occasional step or two away from the comfort of that wall like this, just to prove i'm still my own man however, if you'll take a word a very strong word of advice when submitting to this journal you are only justified when you are fully justified to the left
