Author's Note: It seems as if the old monk has taken over what time and space I have for writing. I have to be okay with that, because you don't say Whoa in a horse race. That being said, I'm not sure how much of it is poetry and how much is The Fool talking to The King.

Three Untitled Poems

You only think
you can write
a hundred poems
about the wind,
the old monk
told the poet.

~

The line should
break when you can't
stand it,
the old monk told the poet.

~

How good it looks
on paper
is the best lie
it can tell,
the old monk said
about poetry.
