Time Warp

Images through portholes of space and time
swell like helium filled balloons & float
in slow motion across treasured dreamscapes
& final frontiers; painted faces on lime orbs
personalize each gliding vessel as boldly as
the initial arc of a lunar cycle: a single eye
enhanced with solar mascara, nostrils
breathe in possibilities & promises,
exhale star dust memories while lips part
with childish innocence—smile in anticipation.
The epoch travelers bounce along corridors
where outer space continuums privilege
general relativity to determine movement,
create gravitational lensing, identify singularities—
rotating black holes that establish gateways
to the past, trip the light fantastic to the future—
always progressing, bending, building momentum,
they quantify each geometric solution ‘til the mask
of airy impermanence’s unveiled & voyagers confront
present day mysteries with awe and compassion.
