Physics is Silent

Atomic forces
hold
the universe of matter
together,
bond borne between
protein and nuclei
stronger
than love
which cannot be proven
via rigorous methodical
investigation.
Meanwhile,
wily electrons
are attracted elsewhere,
everywhere
into covalent polar ionic
rhythms,
intermingle,
share shells with other selves,
flagrant in fidelity
to the matter
of their home nuclei.
You, my dear,
have a higher mind
and I a lust for science.
As time wears on
this marriage,
select atoms decay
where weak nuclear forces
infiltrate,
and a certain stability
is attained,
faint photonic light
and radioactive words
merely the crossfire
of physics and love.
