Bio Note: I was born Down Under, which explains my line breaks and the way I pronounce ‘sorry’ and ‘tomorrow’. I am currently waiting by the mailbox for the arrival of my next collection from dancing girl press, Attached, Poetry of Suffix. I have five other chapbooks, two Pushcart Prize nominations, and quite a few chickens.
The Density of Gold
I had harvested a handful of goldfinch along yards of a path slicing through the prairie. No sweet feet holding the final songs, just feathers, feathers. Who knew how much gold it took to fly?
