Bio Note: I’m loving mid summer, kid-weather, watching my three grandkids make discoveries: bare wet feet on silver grass chasing fireflies. Happy summer!

things left behind

hungry birds at the feeders
weeds in the flower beds
berries on bushes
photos in boxes
toys in closets
words unspoken
in poems

‘if only’ wears a mask

an overcast day
in shades of cool gray...
as if a seeker in mist
could find the hidden…
as if the season
could be separated from tilt

shades of wanna-be green
embrace earth’s rock ribs
grateful for snow
in dark winter…
