Bio Note: I’m seeing two of my three grandchildren in person again. How they change, simply
from one week to the next when they are so little: Wrenna is four, Aili one. Even though I and my husband
Jim continue to isolate because of the virus, life is good. So many butterflies are fluttering outside in
my wildflowers, I expect the plants to take off!

you disappear the first day of summer hummingbird slant light black clouds rumble coyote howls colliding fronts blow in a storm moon in mist searching for you cumulus clouds roll on thunderheads prayer circle english and amish voices calling you home your fireworks cross a giant buck moon chimes ring prayers for you starless nights grain fields ripen your golden life forfeits summer body search four thousand acres no you gray day after gray day missing you where are you beyond the clouds a comet streaking
