Author's Note: The inspiration for this headline poem came from the book,
Overstory, by Richard Powers. It is a deeply moving book that I believe everyone should read.
Such a celebration of trees, and so much more. There are forces on this earth larger than
we humans, and lifeforms every bit as precious.

Trumpets for Trees
Some pictures of the coronavirus make it look like a planet with trumpets for trees could this signify the trumpeting third angel of Revelation the star wormwood turning the waters bitter Dupont has turned a few waters bitter as had the mining companies of Tar Creek so many stars to turn our waters bitter how many of us have already died for capitalism but every coronavirus picture looks like it came straight out of Dr. Seuss’s latest book maybe Theodor Seuss Geisel has become the hand of God defending the planet clean things up a bit and on the final page of his newly released book Trumpets for Trees a question would you die to save the earth
