Pandemic Poems - APRIL 2020
Bio Note: I live in an inspiring area near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, where I write, draw and paint,
and often photograph my natural surroundings. I'm a mom of an adult son, poetry editor, an animal lover, and I've
written a few books, too.
In Those Days, Humanity Followed the Stay-At-Home Mandate
confinement aided in the COVID-19 ‘Flatten the Curve’ campaign, still osprey, lesser scaup, and other migratory waterfowl arrived, as did spring relationships changed, some deepened others became increasingly distant, though connection through technology bridged the gap navel-gazing, bird-watching, mask-making, and “couch-potatoing” rose, along with arts and crafts vacations were forbidden isolation and social distancing were key protections in trying to control the pandemic restrictions were important, standing six feet away from people saved lives unity through uncertainty strengthened society, and the world pulled together figuratively while remaining physically apart
