April 2020
Bio Note: I live in an inspiring area near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, where I write, draw and paint,
and often photograph my natural surroundings. I'm a mom of an adult son, poetry editor, an animal lover, and I've
written a few books, too.
Adrift with Vision
Beneath lid lies lambency— filaments float as retina soaks in color where rust casts rose shines red sends optics to flutter. Along radiance awareness ignites— as you slip into seeing bathe within being enter the well. Inside boat under April skies— you envision imagine honor the eye— finder of light seer of truth giver of sight.
The Big Bang and Other Big Stuff
Extrapolate backward before earth stars galaxies subatomic particles before anything there was nothing but something called singularity. At the center of a black hole it’s believed density and gravitational acceleration created an expansion one big enough to orchestrate the observable universe where large amounts of dark matter and dark energy developed. Though my knowledge of cosmology and its corresponding theories is limited I’d tend to agree with the spread of darkness especially as it relates to our current administration. In like manner couldn’t the White House be compared to a black hole a region demonstrating dense gravitational pull? Extrapolate forward to brighten our horizon elevate the universe eliminate dark matter wouldn’t it make sense to vote for bluer skies in 2020?
Unforeseen Winter
Like fever the chapels chilled with disbelief Shock rang though work resumed For months fear consumed the average person accelerated imaginations unhitched society still notions of spring mellowed most even those infected Beyond valley where virus was packaged balloons and party favors remained in the hands of politicians As days passed some survivors burned their clothes while others sat around the fires to mend Unnatural as it was no one spoke yet bells were heard easing this unforeseen winter
