E D I T O R ' S N O T E
Dear V-V Villagers,
Well I've succeeded in making V-V a smaller entity. This month (May) I have about 35 contributors, compared to April which had double that amount. This change has made a big difference in the amount of work I have to do to publish an issue. It was getting to be too much for me.
From now on please submit poems to V-V every other month or every couple of months (except for the contributing editors who will continue to be published every month).
At this point in V-V's development I'm emphasizing COMMUNITY. If you just want to see your poems published in a journal, then V-V isn't for you. There are so many good literary journals on the Internet — journals which would be better venues for your poems. If it weren't for the communal aspects of V-V, I wouldn't even have a journal. Yes, V-V is about excellence in poetry, BUT I only want people here who will be active members of the community.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS ONLY DURING THE FIRST TEN DAYS OF THE MONTH PRECEDING THE ISSUE MONTH -- NOT EARLIER OR LATER.
The (optional) theme for June is "GRADUATION."
Thanks for your kind support of Verse-Virtual.
Sincerely yours,
Firestone
