KARMA IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A WINDOW SEAT
You never thought love would come back,
bite you on the ass the way it did.
Everything does, especially in flights of adoration.
You thought you could pass out a look,
a ticket to board whenever you pleased.
Pick it up and examine it in the light, closer to the sky.
I never believed in karma except in the movies,
but I always believed in the mati, the evil eye.
You’ve got it, the sign—you think everything’s funny.
Everything’s a joke; laughter sits closest to the window.
Move in, move out, excuse me and again.
Captain, there’s a real person in the middle seat.
