Dear V-V's,


For those of you who like seasonal prompts, our OPTIONAL theme for August is SUMMER'S END. (I can't help but wonder what interesting and imaginative metaphors you'll come up with.)  PLEASE send submissions ONLY during the first two weeks in July.  No sooner PLEASE.

Verse-Virtual has a new feature — a monthly column by our own David Graham called POETIC LICENSE: Notes on Poetry, Poems, and Poets.  I posted the first article in the middle of June. For those of you who might have missed it, the article can be found in the June archive.  NOTE: I've changed the name of the CURRENT POETRY page to POEMS AND ARTICLES; you can find David's current (July) column on that page — all the way down at the bottom, below the list of poets' names.

SO: I am starting to print short articles about poetry and poetics.  I might also publish short book reviews of books by V-V authors.  If you are interested in writing an article please write a proposal and submit it to me at ff@verse-virtual.org.
