April 2016
E D I T O R ' S N O T E
Dear Vee-Vees and company,
Well it's National Poetry Month again and in honor of that our (optional) theme for April was POETRY. Thus you will find many wonderful poems about poetry (and nearly everything else) in this issue.
Our (optional) theme for May is FLOWERS. Please remember that I only accept submissions during the first two weeks of the month before the issue month, e.g., during the first two weeks in April for the May issue.
We have nine newcomers to Verse-Virtual this month. Please join me in welcoming: Kate Delany, Frederick Feirstein, Dana Gioia, R. S. Gwynn, Gary Heath, Mark Jarman, Jim Keller, David Mason, and Jean Nordhaus.
Here are some recent website-traffic statistics for V-V: Google Analytics reports 22,175 pageviews and 1,335 unique users for the month of March; Weebly (webhost) reports 7,980 pageviews and 653 unique visitors for the last week in March. Our numbers are growing.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading and writing, and Happy National Poetry Month to all.
Sincerely yours,
Firestone Feinberg
