I am a musician and horror enthusiast based in Northern New Jersey. Having previously optioned a full length screenplay called “Shudder”, I'm now focusing my writing efforts on short fiction and poetry.

Ignite

Glowing skin.
Smoldering,
so bright.
I reached up.
Yearning
for the sun.

I am
the moth.
Dancing endlessly
against the flames.
Empowered and free,
untamed by dark.

Setting rays flicker.
Graceful rebels,
brazen against black.
My soul relents
immersed in dusk.

I am
the owl.
Retreating endlessly
Into shadows.
Cooled and soothed,
comforted by dark.

Moonlight glimmers.
Timid thieves,
concealed by black.
My soul submits
lost in midnight.

I am
the ashes.
Floating endlessly
By the moon.
Burnt and charred,
consumed by dark.

Splintered skin.
Scorched,
so bruised.
I hold on.
Yearning still
for the sun.
