I love to laugh and make other people laugh. When my kids were little I made up silly stories for them — and then turned them into songs. Now I write poetry and short stories, all humorous. I've created a Zombie advice columnist, Hideous Hilda, who counsels needy zombies. I’ve also created a character called Anxietyman who always 'saves the day' even though he’s a neurotic nervous wreck. (Yes. I based him on me...) My poems and stories have been published online and in print.

DEAR HIDEOUS HILDA: I’m a middle aged male zombie who was teetering aimlessly down the street as usual. Suddenly, this guy who said he was a political activist came up to me and asked if I leaned more to the left or to the right... I told him that it all depends on which side I have a rigor mortis flare up. He gave me a dirty look, so I ate him. But just for the record: do you think there was anything wrong with my response to his question? -POLITICALLY INCORRECT DEAR INCORRECT: Coming from a zombie’s perspective, I think that your answer to the political activist’s question was dead on. Now there are three things for certain: death, taxes, and no more questions from that rude political activist. Way to go, my reanimated friend. Your deadly beloved, Hideous Hilda |
