I'm a husband, a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a friend, a musician, a poet, a painter, a piano tuner, and a retired teacher. I'm an observant Jew and a diehard socialist. I'm 64 years old and I live in NYC with my wonderful wife, Susan. And even though I don't have a college degree in English, I am the editor of the best online poetry journal in the world.
And along the way were shining souls
Who came to walk beside me as I traveled through the land
But little did I see them — my eyes were almost closed
And little did I understand
That these were lights who marked the trails
Whose vision was as bright as day,
And had I seen them — and listened to their tales
I’d have known I was on the way.
