Dear Verse-Virtual poets,


As you must know by now, Verse-Virtual is as much a community as it is a journal.  That means that everyone here should participate.  You can most easily help strengthen our community by reading the poems in the current issue.  Then, if you like some of them, please write to the authors of those poems to tell them.  

We live in a selfish world.  You know what I mean.  Please — care.

Certainly — and paradoxically — I am ignorant.  I don't have any idea of how successful our community is.  I don't know what's happening here.

Occasionally one of you will let me know that you've had some communication with another member.  Please — be so kind as to tell me just a little about what's going on.  What is your experience?  Are we a family or what?  

Here are three statistics about us from Google Analytics:


1.  In this, our first year, there have been about 130,000 views of pages on Verse-Virtual.

2.  We have had about 7,100 users visit our site.

3.  Our visitors are from many many countries.  The ten countries from which the most visitors have come are:  US, UK, Canada, India, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Ghana, Spain, and Phillipines.

The numbers continually grow.  We have more and more of a presence on the Internet poetry scene.  That's good.  I'm happy.

I'm also tired.
