August 2015
i live about forty miles from London in a place called Basingstoke, Hampshire. I have published some seven collections of poetry and have about a thousand poems floating around the web. But more important to me is if someone I don't know were to send me an email telling me they were moved by my work.
Words
Today
I don't write at all.
I only whisper in the wind.
Let life take them where they need to go.
Goodbye words.
Wrong
When you have no choice in life
it is easy
It is always the choices
that kill you,
allow you to go wrong;
and all some people can do
is go wrong.
Anywhere Man
I sat on the bench in the rain
I had sunglasses perched on the top of my head.
I watched the people as the rain trickled down my head.
That is all I do now.
Watch them.
I watch them as they walk from work,
pick up lunch,
run for the train.
I can't work out why they are in such a rush to get home.
The only thing I can relate to
is that need —
that need to be somewhere — anywhere — else.
