I’m a poet and lyricist from a little town called Tucumcari located in New Mexico. It’s a small place in the middle of nowhere on the way to everywhere. I enjoy writing every day and I’m an avid collector of old poetry books and antiques. I’ve been published in such magazines and literary journals as Black Heart Magazine, The Screech Owl, Penhead Press and more.
His Cloud
in memory of my nephew

I’ll tell the world of a little boy...
Who sits on the brim of heaven
His feet hanging from a cloud
Whose blissful eyes see us live our lives
Who knows he did us proud
Now he needs no artificial breath
To fulfill his tiny lungs
He follows along the angels' path
And talks in the angels' tongues
He sips sweet nectar from the breeze
And eats the fruit straight off the trees
He plays in the skyline pastures
And runs through the clouds with ease
If there were something I could say to him
I would ask him to kiss the sky
So I could catch a glimpse of him — once again —
As his cloud passes by
