Divine Acrobatics

Safe from Rome far in the hills
we speak of God
immersed in sand inside a cave

together

all the things we know we learned
connected all the pieces of Existence
we turn them inside out repeat them
we juggle them

sparks fly

letters become words that bounce
off the walls jump back and forth
our hands form and reform them
as clear as glass as flames rise
fill the air as we breathe

the past and future ever present appear
the Love of God
all souls of all the saints
that ever lived reveal themselves to us

soon

Rome fades away
as if it never was
the sparks that filled the cave rush
out into the open air
enlightening us 

and as This World arises
they fill the Open Space
renewing Creation
again
and
again
