I used to teach, but now I don’t. I’ve published hundreds of poems, articles, and essays, and have edited journals, books, and anthologies. My most recent book of poems, The Light You Find, was published by Blue Begonia Press. I live in Yakima, Washington, where this week, we’re picking Bings and Rainiers.

Staring into My Closet the Morning of the Biopsy

Or maybe this long-sleeved T-shirt
I’ve never really liked,
afraid from here on out
it will remind me 
of the aqua hospital gown.
