Dear V-Vs,


This issue is a kind of miracle.  August was a very rough month.  Susan's cancer treatments have been grueling.  She has been hospitalized four times.

I didn't think I would really produce a September issue.  But I did.  V-V is a distraction for me from the hard life we're living now.

I hope to publish an October issue, but, again, I cannot promise.  Please send you submissions during the first two weeks in September, not earlier and not later.  There is no theme.

Thank you to the many who have sent us your kind thoughts and welcome prayers.  This is a community.  I know that now, if for no other reason than your kind and care-full reactions to our trouble at this time.

I welcome the fall.  It will be good to leave this summer behind.
