June 2017
E D I T O R ' S N O T E
Dear V-Vs,
Our second grandchild is due any day now. I'm hardly able to think of anything else. Gabe, Karla, and Lucas live in Long Island. It's about an hour from here. The plan is that the minute Karla goes into labor they will call us to come out there to take care of Lucas. We'll stay a few days to help them out.
We don't know if the baby is a girl or a boy; they want it to be a surprise — like it was when Gabe and Zack were born. That was almost forty years ago. Time flies fast.
Here's a sonogram from about two weeks ago...

Cute, huh?
Anyhow, our optional theme for June was WRITER'S BLOCK. I bet that most of you have been around that block more than a couple of times. It's interesting how differently writers deal with it. You'll enjoy these poems. Many are funny.
ATTENTION: THERE IS NO THEME FOR JULY.
I can say no more.
Sincerely yours,
Firestone
