​Dear V-Vs,

In honor of the new year, the OPTIONAL theme for February is BEGINNINGS.

V-V has been affected by the upheaval in our country.  Our stastistics are significantly down. In December we had about half the views we normally have, and we have about ten fewer contributors to the January issue than usual. 

But poetry is a helper.  It allows us to express and share ourselves in words that everyone can understand; it helps us try to make sense of what seems senseless, and it is a refuge for us.  Most importantly, poetry is communication — it draws us together.
