December 2017
E D I T O R ' S N O T E
Dear V-Vs,
For the December issue I suggested that you submit a poems which you wrote when you were "young" (the parameters of "young" being unspecified). I thought it was a good idea, but that's all. I was wrong. I never had so much interest and excitement about any theme before. Most contributors to this issue did indeed submit poems from their youth. Some sent poems from childhood, some from adolescence, and some from their twenties and beyond. I asked contributors to send photos of themselves taken at the time they wrote the poems. So most of the "youth" poems have cool photos on their pages. I hope you all have fun reading these youthful gems. And I'm so glad everyone was so enthusiastic about the theme.
There is no theme for January.
Susan's health is improving every day. She is getting stronger and stronger and some of the bad reactions to treatment are gradually going away. We have more to be thankful for this year than ever before. Thanks again for all your warm care.
Sincerely,
Firestone
