In the early 70s, I read about the McCarthy Era and the blacklisting of people who were accused of being Communists. Many were called to testify and "name names" before the House UnAmerican Activities Committee. Zero Mostel was one of those called to testify. As far as I can recall, this was my first attempt at poetry. I'm a regional VP of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. My chapbook, Who Are We Then?, was published by Partisan Press.
