Dear V-V Villagers,
Our OPTIONAL theme for August is SUMMER'S END, so you'll find many poems inspired by that in this issue. Our OPTIONAL theme for September will be FOOD (that should give you plenty of food for thought). Of course, you may send me food instead of poems ... nah, the poems have fewer calories.

If you are interested in writing an article or book review (of another V-V's book), please write to me ff@verse-virtual.org.
Verse-Virtual is a very large part of my life now. It's a lot of work, but it pays well. I feel great to know that I'm publishing poetry that should be published and that I am helping a lot of people. It's a creative and fulfilling job. Thanks for making it possible.
Sincerely,
Firestone

Well, our new "articles" feature seems to be holding its own. We have three articles in this issue:
- a new episode of David Graham's delightful monthly column, Poetic License;
- a truly inspiring piece on poetry and prayer by Chris Anderson;
- and Robbi Nester's glowing review of LeighAnna Schesser's Heartland.
