Robert K. Johnson
Bio Note: My poems are spins on our everyday world, which grips me much more than science fiction worlds do. A now retired college teacher, I've had several collections of my poetry published over the years.
Where I Live
I've always lived in cities and suburbs close to cities. Or so I thought. But today, happening on a letter I wrote decades ago-- a letter stark and intense as midwinter-- I discover that a part of me once lived (still lives?) in a weather-beaten cabin hidden in a dark forest.
A Perfect Movie Plot
The acting, directing, editing could all have been leadenly un-first-rate and Groundhog Day would still have been a box office hit. Is there anyone nagged by regrets new or decades old who wouldn't—just like the movie's hero— welcome the chance to replace a bad blunder by—this time—doing exactly the right thing?
